Learn about our story, our team and what makes us different.
Yield Group was born when Eric Dodds, Peter Barth and Mason Stewart finished out their tenure at a business they sold to a publicly traded company. Significant interest in their learnings about growth at an international scale led them to re-hire some of their previous teams and syndicate their knowledge to high-growth businesses.
Today, our senior leadership team all come from decades of experience where they were responsible for driving growth. Several of us have built and successfully exited companies and also have experience inside the Fortune 500. The common thread across our intersecting paths has been our philosophical alignment on how to drive growth with data and our proven ability to deliver results in all types of businesses.
Our mission is to help companies leverage data, technology and processes to build scalable, sustainable growth as efficiently as possible.
Middle-market companies with aggressive growth goals often understand their customer well and what has helped them get to where they are, but attempting to sustain and increase growth, often in pursuit of higher multiples, bottlenecks in both expertise and capacity.
We designed Yield Group to be the firm we wanted to hire as founders and operators of growth companies facing those exact issues. So, we built a "special ops" team that delivers results with control, transparency and speed.
We believe our most significant value comes from having been in the shoes of our clients, many times at our own companies. We've intentionally designed every part of Yield Group to serve those roles and deliver the outcomes they are responsible for.
We are veterans in software, data and marketing technology all working together as a project team. From early stage software startups to enterprise CPG, our team of experts has been there.
We work with your existing stack and/or recommend and implement tools appropriate for your business model and stage. We intentionally opt-out of attractive revenue-share agreements with software vendors to ensure our recommendations are pure.
Every one of our engagements is divided into quarterly "sprints" (~3 months) and end with actionable deliverables. We manage our work with a state of the art agile process, ensuring top quality and timeliness.
Our goal is to make you and your team your team self-sufficient, not log you into proprietary systems, processes or tools. At the end of each phase, you're free to take the work in-house—and we'll help you through the transition.
Yield Group is entirely tool agnostic. We believe your stack should match your business and change dynamically with it. To that end, We not accept commissions or revenue share from anyone. This allows us an unparalleled breadth of experience and autonomy to select the right tool at the right time. Below is a sample of the tools with which we have worked:
